Left over scraps.

All my art work is in relation to my story telling which is a mixture of myths, legends, philosophy, theology, psychology and history.

Assortment of Collage Covers

Here are a few collage covers for my webcomic Phantasmagoria.

In a dark dark world where Truth is obscure: Welcome to Planet Earth

This is a diorama I have been working on for a number of weeks. I'm juxtapositioning black and white imagery --- with shades of grey in between. The inspiration has come from one of my visual narratives (web comic at Phantasmagoria - the maze of the labyrinth; and more on labyrinth's can be found here at the comic site's blog theophantasmagoria.blogspot.com particularly Looking through a glass dimly and in the maze of the labyrinths)

I've used some owl birthday cards, some sparkling stars on branches, some die cut bare trees, gate, 19th c light holder.

To start the journey you only have to believe and then walk through the gate, but it isn't long before you know you have to smash down dark screens of deception to actually start walking in the truth.

The derelict house is the home to a monk, who knows the truth is not in the Catholic Church. He directs you further on. But the Truth is obscure and we only see through a dark glass dimly. There I've used mica sheets to give that obscurity. In the meantime the road of light has several light or candle holders to direct the way, a chalice to start the journey. At the end of the road is Jesus knocking on your door holding a light. On her knees is a woman repenting of her sin.
